From Wednesday 16 to Monday 21 May 2018 the City of Fremantle relocated the first five of seven London Plane Trees to other sites within Kings Square. Here's how they did it.
A giant 450t crane (one of the biggest in Western Australia) lifting one of the former Myer building escalators out on Thursday 10 May 2018 as part of the Kings Square Renewal project.
The 8 tonne steel, jarrah and gyprock escalator modules come out in one piece and are then dismantled by hand and recycled!
Things really started to ramp up early in 2018 with demolition of the Queensgate cinema and office building and the stripping back of the former Myer building. Here's the timelapse!
